iQOO’s new flagship smartphone, the iQOO 15, achieved great commercial success immediately after its launch in China. The company announced that the phone surpassed the entire day’s sales figures of its predecessor, the iQOO 13, within the first 30 minutes of its release. This result made the iQOO 15 the fastest-selling device in the brand’s history.
iQOO 15 back in the spotlight
The iQOO 15, which attracted attention with its features and price, especially the 10th Anniversary Collection Edition, was in high demand. This special edition, featuring 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, sold out immediately. The company announced that a limited number of additional restocks will be made available for this model on October 24th.
The starting price of the iQOO 15 is 4,199 yuan (approximately $589). With special discounts during the launch period, this price drops to 3,699 yuan (approximately $520). The company hasn’t released an exact figure for the total number of units sold.
Regarding the technical details, the iQOO 15 features a 6.85-inch 2K resolution Samsung Everest AMOLED display on the front. This panel offers a peak brightness of 6,000 nits and carries an eye protection certification from TÜV Rheinland. The device is powered by Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor.
The phone also features a dedicated gaming chip called “Q3” that supports 144 FPS frame rates at 2K resolution and 120 FPS ray tracing. This feature stands out as a notable innovation among mobile devices.
On the camera front, it features a 3x periscope telephoto lens (100x zoom) with a Sony IMX882 sensor. All this powerful hardware is powered by a massive 7,000mAh battery. The device supports 100W wired and 40W wireless fast charging.
